Ultrasound, also called sonography
or sonograms, is a type of medical imaging
technique that allows health care providers
to look at most parts of the human body
without any radiation involved. Ultrasound
is a safe way of looking at parts of
the human body and poses no risk whatsoever
to the patient.

the most modern, newest ultrasound equipment
currently available, providing patients
with the 21st century medical care in
the comfort of their homes.
New York House Call Physicians can
perform nearly all types of ultrasound
in the comfort of your home or in our
Park Avenue office: ultrasound of the
heart (echocardiography, echocardiograms);
ultrasound of the arteries and veins
(vascular and Doppler techniques, commonly
used to look at blood flow or to look
for clots in the legs, deep vein thrombosis
or DVT); ultrasound of the abdomen (ie
the liver, spleen); obstetric and fetal
ultrasound related to pregnancy.
