WHAT WE DO & WHAT TO EXPECT
House calls are performed
by New York House Call Physicians staff
which includes many levels of health
care providers from medical assistants
to nurses to physician assistants to
doctors. When you call, you will speak
to our receptionist or office manager
who will direct you to the appropriate
New York House Call Physicians health
care provider.
Please tell New York House Call Physicians
the nature of your problem. New York
House Call Physicians will also need
your address and some basic demographic
information for our electronic medical
record and for scheduling purposes.
You and New York House Call Physicians
will agree upon a house call or office
visit time and place. Expect the New
York House Call Physicians to confirm
your house call or office visit and
to be on time.
New York House Call Physicians visits
last anywhere from minutes to hours,
usually about an hour, during which
time a medical history will be obtained,
a pertinent physical examination performed,
and medication(s) dispensed and/or prescriptions
provided.
If you need laboratory,
X-ray, or diagnostic testing that cannot
be performed on the spot, New York House
Call Physicians will provide you a prescription
and will gladly help mediate the testing
and interpret the results.
