Family Medicine (Family Practice, General Practice)

New York House Call Physicians is pleased to offer family medical care at our Park Avenue office and throughout the New York area on house calls.

Family medicine doctors--also called family doctors, family physicians, family practice doctors, general practice doctors, and general practitioners--provide basic medical care to patients of all ages including babies, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

The specialty of family medicine was created in the 1969, the goal being that one doctor could provide medical care to all members of a family, understading both the medical and social issues of the family in order to provide the best doctor care for that specific family.

Family medicine is a unique medical specialty requiring 3 years of post-graduate medical training.

Family doctors are clinically trained in the basic and complicated aspects of all specialties of medicine including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Natan Schleider, M.D. is a board certified family physician.
