and New Jersey.
If you are a licensed, medical professional
(Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Physician
Assistant, Medical Assistant) interested
in working for New York House Call Physicians,
we are pleased to review your application.
Please note the following if you are
seriously interested in applying:
-
Compensation occurs at 50% of the
practice fees (i.e. If we bill $600
for a house call, you will be paid
$300. If fees increase, so shall
your compensation)
-
You will be paid as an independent
contractor, meaning, you will be
responsible for filing your own
taxes, social security, etc
-
If you are currently enrolled
as a health care provider with third
party health insurance plans (i.e.
Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue

to see New York House Call Physicians’
patients in your office as your
own patients; however, if you join
New York House Call Physicians,
our restrictive covenant will ask
that you not provide home care services
to patients of New York House Call
Physicians
-

travel, tolls, health insurance,
or malpractice insurance. You are
not obliged to carry malpractice
insurance. Please consult with your
current malpractice insurance carrier
to confirm they cover independent
contractor work for New York House
Call Physicians
-
You will be responsible for your
transportation. Having a car is
of great value.

Most patients seeking urgent care
want a home visit within 1-2 hours
of their call. If you are serious
about working for us, be ready to
move when you get our call. That
said, as an independent contractor,
you are never obliged to take a
house call. If a special occasion
arises (ie anniversary, birthday,
personal matter), simply let us
know
-
Please consider the safety and
unique aspects of home care medicine
outside of the usual environment
of the hospital or office you are
used to working in. You are never
obliged to take a house call. Our
independent contractor safety and
security is of primary concern,
we never ask you to enter an environment
that is unsafe. Many patients you
see will be established patients
of New York House Call Physicians.
-
You will be provided with all
medical equipment, supplies, and
pharmaceuticals needed for home
care and asked to periodically visit
us to restock supplies and review
inventory
-
You will always have direct support
